CDM founder Pete Cerqua began lifting weights with his dad when
he was 8 years old. By age 12, he set up a gym in his basement,
trained
the neighborhood kids and read everything he could get his hands
on relating to weight lifting, bodybuilding and nutrition. By
age 15, the local amateur bodybuilders and powerlifters were
taking
advice from Pete. His career path was defined.
Never satisfied with the methods of strengthening and reshaping
the body, Pete searched for a more efficient way that would
produce faster
results. His own research lead him to experiment with every training
method known at the time. He has spent over 20 years practicing
with most of the traditional strength training protocols
from high volume
to high intensity, one set per exercise to ten sets per exercise
and ten-minute workouts to two-hour workouts. Pete also experimented
with working out as much as six days per week to as little as just
one day per week. Pete’s accomplishments with his own body
over the years included a lean 240lb bodybuilding physique in his
twenties, strength accomplishments of 500lb bench presses and 225lb
barbell arm curls. He believes a stronger body will benefit everyone
under any circumstances at any age. Pete maintains his strength
levels today at age 42 with lifts that still compete with professional
athletes
and amateur lifters half his age.
One goal Pete Cerqua had from early on was to level the playing
field where strengthening the body was concerned. Pete wanted
to develop
a strength training method that everyone could use without prejudice.
He did not want to give an athlete one workout and another workout
to someone who had a knee replacement. He wanted a revolutionary
and universal method that would yield results for everyone, regardless
of their current fitness status. After many years of research,
Pete developed ChronoDynaMetrics. Pete Cerqua does not claim that ChronoDynaMetrics will be the “be
all and end all” of the fitness industry, but a tool to
be used in many applications. CDM can be used exclusively for
the
person who has limited time and no ambition to get in better
shape. It can
be used to enhance your current exercise program or be an addition
to a rehabilitation program set by your doctor. Like Pete, if
you believe that having a stronger body will benefit you, then
CDM will have a place in your strength and fitness lifestyle.
Watch over the next few years as ChronoDynaMetrics will be used
by top personal trainers, physical therapists, orthopedic doctors
and
consumers of all ages.
Pete has perfected the CDM strength system with thousands of
clients who range in age from their early twenties to clients
in their
late eighties. ChronoDynaMetrics, “timed strength measurement” has
been proven to be cutting edge technology in the field of strength
training. It is now that Pete wants to share his findings with
everyone.
